Bella is a cheerful, high- energy Havanese dog born on January 10, 2006. Bella has been an active pet therapy dog for about seven years. During her most active year of pet therapy work, Bella completed nearly 100 visits to hospitals, senior centers and elementary schools. Bella just can’t seem to get enough belly rubs and she is always happy to wag her tail in appreciation. Thank you to all of those patients and people who shared their stories with Bella. It was her pleasure and honor to get to know you! As Bella would say, “woof!” a.k.a live, love and bark!
Moses was found in a junk yard in the city at about 12 weeks old, hairless and covered in scabs he was rushed to the emergency clinic. I got a call from rescue about him and agreed to foster him. It was a year of battling malnutrition and rickets, visiting specialist trying to make the best decisions for his comfort and well-being. After being told by a local orthopedic surgery he should be euthanized, we only fought harder! Long story short Moses has deformed front legs, however they work just as well as the next guy and he never let it get him down. I decided he was a wonderful, calm dog with something special to share with everyone! As a CCC therapy dog Moses has visited children with Cerebral Palsy and Autism, the Boy Scouts and many other venues with children who are inspired by his “it’s OK to be a little different” attitude. He’s slobbery, sometimes a little stinky but you will never meet a more comical, easy going lover than this Shar pei/ American Bulldog Mix. He’s Moeylicious
LaLa is a sweet, 9 year old chocolate Labrador Retriever whom we adopted from the Humane Society in August of 2013. We learned right away, despite having been surrendered twice before we adopted her, that LaLa truly loves people of all ages! She is very affectionate, loves being petted and is a gentle soul. LaLa is always wagging her tail and wiggling her butt, especially as she meets someone new. She enjoys long walks and strolls, car rides, or simply sitting outside soaking in the sun. LaLa is looking forward to bringing puppy kisses and lots of love as she embarks on her career as a therapy dog.
Keeper and Hudson are English Labrador Retrievers. They really enjoy their visits to a skilled nursing facility. They take turns volunteering, so each of them has a special day to bring smiles and cheer. They are the best of friends, and like to cuddle together on their dog bed. Long dog walks, and meeting other dogs and their owners, keep their tails wagging!
